Changelog

New features and improvements to Perko, newest first.

v2.113.0
August 9, 2026

Mobile browsing keeps the useful part in view

  • ImprovedSearch now sits at the top of every page on a phone or tablet, instead of only on wide screens. Finding a code used to mean tapping Browse, waiting for the page, then looking for the box. The bar stays in place while you scroll, and suggestions appear as you type. It is left out on the Browse page itself, which already has its own.
  • FixedThe search box is now a full-height target rather than a thin strip, and its text is large enough that iPhones stop zooming the whole page in when you tap it.
  • FixedPublic circle pages no longer slide sideways or cut off their sign-up and feed-view controls on narrow phones.
  • FixedThe floating Use Referral button now waits until the main button has scrolled away. It also sits against the real bottom edge for signed-out visitors, clears the member navigation when it exists, and stays out of the way while the cookie choice is open.
  • ImprovedFilters on a phone now open as a bottom sheet instead of inserting a thousand-pixel panel above the results. You can keep choosing facets, clear everything from the sticky footer, then jump straight back to the updated matches.
  • ImprovedThe signed-out reminder is now a compact strip on phones, and it stays off the Circles landing page where the same invitation was already the main event.
  • ImprovedButtons, referral validation controls, view switches and clickable chips now meet a 44-pixel mobile tap-target floor. New phone visitors also start circle feeds in the much shorter List view unless they have already chosen another view.
  • ImprovedThe sticky search row folds away while you scroll down and returns when you move back up. For members, the hamburger now holds secondary destinations while Home, Browse, Post, Circles and Profile stay in the bottom navigation.
  • FixedSharing a circle from an iPhone now sends the invite link on its own instead of a sentence sitting next to a link. iOS reads that as a proper link share, so Messages shows the circle card with its picture and name, and the share sheet behaves the way it does elsewhere on the phone. Sharing a single code no longer sends the same link twice either.
  • NewShare to group chat now has a small arrow next to it that opens WhatsApp, Messages or Copy link. That menu was hidden on phones before, which left the share sheet as the only way out of the button. Messages opens with the invite already written, so you can pick a group chat from your usual list.

Start a circle from a template instead of a blank box

  • NewCreating a circle now starts with six one-tap templates: Roommates, Family, Work Crew, The Group Chat, Gym Buddies and Classmates. Picking one names the circle, gives it an emoji, sets it private and decides whether members can invite others, then drops you on the normal form with everything filled in so you can change any of it before pressing Create.
  • ImprovedFamily and Work Crew keep invites to the circle owner, while the more casual ones let any member bring someone in. That setting was previously ignored when you created a circle from the circles page, so whatever you chose there was quietly discarded. It now saves properly.
v2.109.0

A featured startup, picked by us and rotating as you browse

  • NewThere is now a featured startup spotlight. It shows as a card on the front page and as a banner once you are signed in, and when more than one company is featured you get a different one each time a page loads. Tapping it takes you to that company's page with everyone's codes for it.
  • NewOnly companies that already have codes on Perko can be featured, and the logo, category and code count are read from those codes rather than typed in separately. So a spotlight can never advertise something the company page does not actually have, and it drops out on its own if the last code for that company gets paused.
  • ImprovedChoosing what to spotlight is now a search rather than typing a name and hoping it matches. Start typing and the companies that have codes here come up with their code count and category, and anything already featured is shown as such instead of quietly failing.
v2.108.0

Trusted Radius finds the closest useful code without exposing your circles

  • NewSearch now starts with relationship context. All Perko keeps the full catalog but puts your own codes and codes from real circle-mates first; My Circles limits the list to those people; Extended adds public codes from people one trusted hop beyond them.
  • NewSecond-degree discovery is opt-in for the person sharing the code. It never includes their private codes and never tells the searcher which person or circle connects them. The global Welcome Circle and official category circles do not count as relationships.
  • NewA small label on each close result explains whether it is your code, from one of your circles, or from your extended network. You can allow your own public codes into Extended results from Notifications & Privacy on your profile.
v2.107.1

Codes that retire themselves once they have been used enough times

  • FixedAdministrator accounts that sign in with Google no longer keep a separate Perko password. Having both meant the stronger sign-in could be skipped by using the weaker one, which defeats the point of turning on two-step verification with Google in the first place. Nothing changes for everyone else: if you sign in with Google and forget you did, the emailed reset link still works exactly as before.
  • NewYou can now tell a code when to stop. Most referral programs only pay for a set number of friends, and past that your code still sits there looking live while nobody gets anything. When you post or edit a code there is now an optional limit, and once that many uses are confirmed the code retires itself and leaves search and the feeds. You get a notification when it happens, and while it is running you can see how far along it is on the code's page.
  • NewA retired code is not gone. It stays on your profile and its page explains what happened, so anyone holding an old link understands why it stopped rather than thinking it failed. Raise or remove the limit when you edit it and it goes straight back into circulation.
  • ImprovedWhat counts toward the limit is a use somebody confirmed and that actually worked, counted once per person. Clicks do not count, because most of them are people looking rather than signing up, and a use that did not work does not count either, since nobody was credited for it. That means the limit tracks what your referral program would actually pay you for. It also means it only moves when people answer the did-it-work question, so treat it as a floor rather than an exact meter.
v2.106.2
July 30, 2026

Invite limits that actually apply, reserved usernames, and a tappable cookie banner

  • FixedInviting someone to a circle by their username now respects the same limits as every other invite. That one path skipped all of them: it did not check that the sender had confirmed their own email, it ignored the short pause that stops a double click sending twice, and it did not count against the daily invitation allowance. Since cancelling an invite frees the person up to be invited again, someone could have used it to send a stream of invitation emails at anyone whose username they knew. All three ways of sending an invite now go through one piece of code, so a limit added in future applies everywhere at once.
  • FixedNames like perko, admin, support and security can no longer be registered as usernames. A username is a public profile address, so one of those would have been a convincing place to put links that are not ours. The check ignores capitals and underscores, applies whether you are signing up, renaming yourself, or getting a username generated from your Google name, and does not affect anyone already using a name.
  • FixedThe cookie banner no longer covers the bottom of the page. It floats above the content, and nothing was reserving room for it, so on every page the last stretch of the footer sat underneath it and scrolling further did not help. Pages now leave exactly enough space below while the banner is up, measured from the banner itself rather than guessed, so it stays right whatever the wording says.
  • FixedThe Accept and Decline buttons are big enough to hit on a phone. They were 32 pixels tall, well under the 44 pixel target the rest of the site uses, on the one thing every first time visitor is asked to tap. They now share a full width row at 44 pixels.
v2.106.0

Account security, private share links, and confirmations that stick

  • ImprovedCompany, code, circle and profile pages load faster. They were being rebuilt from scratch on every single visit even though they show the same thing to everyone. They are now cached and refreshed every five minutes, which is a large speed-up on exactly the pages people arrive on from a search engine. Anything specific to you still loads separately, so nobody sees anyone else's view.
  • FixedThe password length limit is now honest. The form accepted up to 200 characters while the part that stores your password only ever used the first 72, so anything beyond that was quietly thrown away and two long passwords sharing a beginning could both open the same account. The limit is now 72, which is what actually gets used. Existing passwords keep working.
  • FixedAnalytics no longer receives your email address. When you accepted optional analytics while signed in, your email, username and display name were sent to Microsoft Clarity as session labels. They never needed any of it. Only an internal account number and a couple of yes/no flags are sent now, and nothing that identifies you personally.
  • FixedResending an invitation follows the same rules as sending one. The resend button skipped the confirmed-email requirement, the pause between sends and the daily limit, so it could be used to send mail that had just been refused. It now goes through the same checks.
  • FixedA password reset link is now strictly single use. Two requests arriving at the same moment could both set a password, and whoever lost the race would think they had changed it when they had not.
  • FixedCancelling an invitation actually cancels it. Withdrawing an invite, or declining one, only changed a label: the link still worked and still added people to the circle. Expiry dates were ignored too, and an invitation addressed to one specific person could be used by anyone who got hold of the link. All three are now enforced, on both the accept button and the sign-up-with-an-invite path, and a dead link says so on the page instead of showing a Join button that fails.
  • FixedRemoving someone from a circle now sticks. Their invitations are retired at the same time, so a removed member cannot walk back in through the link still sitting in their inbox. A circle's shared join link is untouched, so everyone else's way in keeps working.
  • ImprovedDaily limits on invitation emails and comments. Inviting people by email already needed a confirmed address, and had a short pause between resends to the same person, but nothing stopped one account emailing hundreds of different strangers. There is now a daily ceiling on invitation emails, and a much higher one on comments. Both sit far above anything a real person does. If you hit the invitation limit the invite link is still created and still works, so you can send it yourself.
  • ImprovedAutofill now needs a confirmed email, and has a daily limit. Pasting a link and letting us fill in the company, description and logo costs us a real amount of money each time, and it was available to any new account with no ceiling. It now works the same way posting a code does: confirm your email once, then use it up to 25 times a day, which is far more than anyone posting codes normally needs. You can always fill the form in by hand.
  • NewWe ask whether a code actually worked, and now we ask everyone. Only signed-in members ever got the question before, so almost nobody was asked and not one code had ever been confirmed as working. The question also arrives at a better moment: when you come back to the Perko tab after trying a code, rather than on some later visit when you have forgotten. Answering takes one tap and no account.
  • ImprovedClick counts are honest now, and our cookie list is complete. Pressing "Use Referral" sets one small cookie holding a random number, which is how we count two separate people rather than counting one person twice when their phone changes network. It holds nothing about you and means nothing anywhere else. If you make an account later, it also lets us credit the code that brought you, which is the whole point of a referral site. Our privacy page now lists every cookie we set instead of only mentioning the sign-in one.
  • NewA note for visitors who aren't signed in. Browsing without an account only ever showed public codes, with nothing on the page to say so, so there was no reason to sign up. A short banner now explains that codes shared inside a circle stay in that circle, and that posting your own codes earns points. It has a link to sign up and a link to browse circles, and it closes for good once you dismiss it.
  • NewAdmins can now target a specific company for outreach. Until now the outreach tool could only suggest companies that already had codes on Perko, which meant there was no way to go after one we wanted to add. Naming a company and its website is enough, and the research step finds a contact and drafts an introduction that makes no claims about activity the company doesn't have yet.
  • NewStronger passwords. New passwords need at least 12 characters, and we now check yours against the public list of passwords exposed in known data breaches. If it turns up there, you will be asked to pick a different one. A long phrase you can actually remember beats a short scramble.
  • FixedSigning in with Google is safer. If someone had already created an account using your email address before you ever signed in with Google, that account is now cleared of its password when you arrive, and any sessions it left open are ended. Your Google account is yours.
  • FixedThe login page no longer reveals who has an account. Whatever you type, a failed sign in now gives the same answer in the same amount of time, so nobody can run a list of email addresses through it to learn which ones are on Perko.
  • ImprovedConfirmation links expire and work once. Your email confirmation link is now good for 48 hours and stops working after you use it, and asking for a new one replaces the old one. Same idea for the code that confirms account deletion, which now also gives up after five wrong tries.
  • ImprovedInvitation emails need a confirmed address. Sending an invite by email now requires confirming your own email first, which keeps Perko's name off mail nobody asked for. Copying the invite link and sharing it yourself works exactly as before, no confirmation needed.
  • FixedSuspending an account now really ends it. A suspended member is signed out everywhere on the spot and any developer API keys they hold stop working, instead of their existing sessions carrying on.
  • FixedProfile and circle images are checked properly. An upload now has to actually be a JPEG, PNG or WebP image rather than just claiming to be one, so a file cannot smuggle something else in under an image label.
  • FixedSharing a private circle works now. The Share button, the copied link and the printable QR code all led to a page saying the invite was invalid, which meant every circle created through the welcome wizard had a share link that went nowhere. Those links now open the circle and let your friends join.
  • NewReset link. Circle owners can make a fresh invite link whenever they want, which stops every older copy from working, including printed QR sheets. Anyone already in the circle stays in.
  • FixedA confirmed use is permanent. Answering yes to "Did you use this code?" used to get wiped if you opened the same code again later, so confirmations never stuck. They stick now, which is what circle pots, rotations and the Certified Plug flair count.
  • FixedAnother privacy sweep. Your activity feed, the group activity log, circle code counts, searching inside a circle, and shareable code links all now follow the same rule as the code itself, so a private code stays inside the circles you chose. A paused code no longer hands out its link or its checkout code anywhere.
  • FixedSecurity hardening across the site: the search-engine data on company and code pages, the redirect after you log in or sign up, and the limits on how much a single request can ask for.
v2.95.0
July 23, 2026

Privacy hardening for private codes and circles

  • FixedTightened who can see and act on private things. Private referral codes stay private everywhere — their discussion, their place in circle feeds, and their click and report actions now all respect the same privacy rules as the code itself. Invite-only circles can only be joined through their invite link, never by guessing a circle's address. And a paused code no longer shows up on your public profile — only you can still see your paused codes.
v2.94.0
July 22, 2026

Easier to read, easier to tap

  • ImprovedAn accessibility pass across the site: buttons and links are easier to tap on phones (44px touch targets), status chips like Working have stronger color contrast, links inside text are underlined so they don't rely on color alone, and the cookie banner takes up less of your screen.
  • ImprovedScreen reader friendliness: footer headings now follow proper document order and the leaderboard tabs announce themselves correctly.
v2.93.0
July 21, 2026

See where every referral link really goes

  • NewYou can now delete your Perko account yourself, from your profile settings. It permanently removes your codes, the circles you own, your points, and any code alerts tied to your email. Password accounts confirm with their password; Google sign-in accounts confirm with a code we email you. No message to support needed.
  • ImprovedClick counts on codes are now honest numbers: each person counts once per code, clicking your own code does not count, and automated traffic is filtered out. Existing counts were kept as they were.
  • ImprovedPerko loads dramatically faster, especially on phones. The icon set the site uses was a 3.9MB font downloaded on every first visit; it is now a 28KB file with exactly the icons we use, served from our own domain. That removes about 88 percent of the total page download.
  • NewReferral cards and detail pages now show the website a link opens right under the Use Referral button, so you know which site you are heading to before you click. Behind the scenes we also follow each new link when it is posted and flag any that land somewhere unrelated to the listed company for a moderator to review.
  • ImprovedNew referral links must now use secure https:// addresses. Codes posted before this change keep working exactly as they are, and editing an older listing never forces you to change its link.
  • ImprovedIf the link you are posting contains your email address (some referral programs build links that way), the form now warns you before you share it publicly, so you can decide whether to use a different link or code instead.
v2.90.1
July 20, 2026

“Up to” rewards & wishlist housekeeping

  • NewPosting a code whose reward depends on how much your friend spends? There is now a simple “Up to” checkbox when you post or edit a code, so the card honestly reads “Up to $600 off” instead of promising a flat amount. It works with every reward type: dollars, percent, credit, points and free time.
  • ImprovedThe Wishlist got housekeeping tools: removing a company from your own wishlist is clearer, and moderators can now clean spam or junk entries off the public board.
  • FixedClicking a company on the Wishlist no longer leads to a missing page. Names now only link when the company actually has a page to show; companies still waiting on their first code appear as plain text with the Post it button right there.
v2.89.0
July 15, 2026

Get pinged when the code you searched for shows up

  • NewLooked for a code that nobody has posted yet? Every search now has a quick "Notify me when a new one lands" option, both when there are no results and right under the results you do see. Signed-in members get a bell notification and an email the moment someone shares a matching code, so you can grab it while it is fresh. It fires once for the next code, then stops. No newsletter, no spam, and one click unsubscribes.
v2.88.1
July 14, 2026

Privacy controls, security hardening & accessibility

  • ImprovedThe site loads faster for visitors: the public home page is now served instantly from cache worldwide, and signed-in members go straight to their dashboard at its own address. You may notice the URL reads perko.io/home once you're signed in, everything else works exactly as before.
  • ImprovedMore behind-the-scenes security hardening around how we fetch external links and build our emails. Nothing changes for you.
  • NewPerko now asks before any optional analytics cookies load. A quiet banner lets you accept or decline, either way the site works exactly the same, and the essential cookie that keeps you signed in is never affected.
  • ImprovedAccessibility across the app: a "Skip to content" link for keyboard users, clearer labels so screen readers no longer read out icon names, and sign-in and sign-up forms that work smoothly with your password manager's autofill.
  • ImprovedMore security and privacy hardening behind the scenes: added protective response headers and trimmed background scripts so pages stay lean.
v2.86.2

The Wishlist, freshness badges & company pages for every program

  • NewBrowse Companies 🏬 — a new directory of every company on Perko, grouped by category, whether it has posted codes or a known referral program. A quick way to find who you can earn a bonus with. Linked from the footer.
  • ImprovedThe Browse and Circles pages now show their codes and circles instantly, the moment the page opens, instead of loading in after a spinner. They are also visible to search engines now, so more people can find Perko.
  • FixedPaused codes no longer show up on the logged-out home page, and the freshness badges there are now accurate.
  • ImprovedMore account-security hardening: you can now sign in with your email in any capitalization, and repeated failed sign-in attempts are rate-limited to keep accounts safe. All behind the scenes.
  • ImprovedCompany names now autocomplete in search even before anyone posts a code for them, so you can jump straight to a company's page and be the first to share one.
  • ImprovedPublic pages (codes, circles, profiles, company pages) now load noticeably faster and show their content instantly, even on a slow connection, because the page arrives ready instead of filling in after the fact. Better for you and for how the pages rank in search.
  • ImprovedAccessibility pass across the app: full keyboard navigation, clearer labels for screen readers, and proper focus handling in pop-ups and dialogs.
  • ImprovedSign-in and session handling got a security tune-up behind the scenes. Everyone will be signed out once as part of the change, so just log back in and you're set.
  • NewThe Wishlist 🔖 — a new public board of companies people are waiting on a referral code for. Add the ones you plan to sign up for, and if you hold a code someone wants, you'll see it and can post it in a tap. Find it in the top nav.
  • NewCompany pages now exist even before anyone posts a code: they show how that company's referral program works and how much it pays, with a clear "be the first to post it" call so a real person earns the bonus instead of a bot.
  • NewFreshness at a glance — codes that haven't been confirmed working in a couple of months now show a subtle "not checked in a while" flag, and code owners get a gentle nudge to confirm theirs still works (or retire it). A long-dead code no longer looks identical to a fresh one.
  • NewEvery code now shows who's behind it: how long they've been a member, how many codes they've shared, and how many were confirmed working — real, accountable people, not anonymous dumps.
v2.84.0
July 12, 2026

Search autocomplete, code alerts, native share & a real email address

  • NewSearch now autocompletes as you type — start typing a company or code and matching companies and codes drop down instantly, so you can jump straight to what you want instead of loading a full results page. Works in the top search bar and on the Browse page; use the arrow keys and Enter, or just tap a result.
  • ImprovedTapping Share on a referral now opens your phone's real share sheet — send it straight to Messages, WhatsApp, or any app — instead of just copying the link. On desktop (or anywhere without a share sheet) it still copies, same as before.
  • NewCode alerts 🔔 — couldn't find a code for the company you wanted? Leave your email on the company page (or the empty search screen) and we'll send you exactly one email when the next code lands. No newsletter attached, one-tap unsubscribe, and members with a verified email are set instantly.
  • NewYou can now email us directly at hello@perko.io — it's on the contact page, the footer, and the FAQ. The feedback form still works too; both reach the same humans.
  • ImprovedReplies to any Perko email now go somewhere: answer a notification or the Dispatch and a person reads it.
  • FixedThe “Manage notification settings” link at the bottom of our emails now takes you to your profile instead of a dead page.
v2.80.0

Discover gets shelves: circle of the week, people to follow & why-join

  • NewPerko Wrapped ✨ — a shareable card of your Perko story: codes shared, friends you've helped, bonuses you've unlocked for them, your MVP code, and more. Find it on your profile, then screenshot it and post it anywhere.
  • NewCircle QR codes 📱 — every circle now has a printable QR that scans straight to its join link. Great for a dorm board, a meetup, or a group hangout: open a circle, tap “QR code”, and print or download.
  • FixedA big under-the-hood pass from a full site audit: search engines now see real 404s for dead links (not indexable “not found” pages), each page carries its own correct share preview and title, paused codes stay fully hidden from circle feeds and the code picker, and the post-a-code confirm box is keyboard- and screen-reader-friendly. Plus new database indexes and lighter queries so pages load quicker.
  • ImprovedSigning up with Google now gives you a real handle built from your name (say, @matthewcarnali) instead of an anonymous @member123456. Already carrying a member number? Your profile now has a one-tap nudge to pick your own username.
  • FixedFour fixes from friend feedback: tapping a filter on mobile now visibly updates (the drawer closes and you land on the refreshed results), paused codes no longer hand out their link or checkout code (Reactivate is the only button left), the duplicate button no longer drops you at the bottom of the post form on mobile, and long filter lists on desktop finally scroll.
  • ImprovedPosting a code got shorter: no more typing a title. We build it from the company and the friend reward (“EightSleep: $200 off”) and show it in a quick confirm step before it goes live — tweak it there if you want something custom.
  • ImprovedGot a checkout code instead of a referral link? The post form now has a one-tap “Instead of a link, use a code” switch — share the code itself and we'll point friends at the company's site to redeem it. No more guessing what the optional code box was for.
  • ImprovedThe home feed now opens in list view — one code per row, easier to scan. Prefer the old cards? A grid / list / compact switcher sits right in the header, and your pick sticks.
  • ImprovedThe Circle Dispatch grew a proper back half: after your personal circle news, every issue now carries “Meanwhile, on Perko” — the week in numbers, what's hot, the circle of the week, and what's new on the platform. Same rule as always though: no personal news, no email.
  • NewWhen a friend answers your ask, you now get an email too — not just the bell. It links straight to the code and reminds you to confirm so your friend gets their bonus. Its own toggle lives in notification settings if you'd rather keep it in-app only.
  • NewCircle of the week 🏆 — Discover now spotlights the public circle with the most going on (new members, fresh codes, confirmed uses over the last 7 days). Somebody's clubhouse is always warming the top spot.
  • NewPeople to follow — Discover surfaces the plugs: members whose codes keep getting confirmed, with a one-tap Follow so their next code pings you. Discovering people is discovering future codes.
  • NewDiscover cards now tell you why to join: what a circle is strong in (“Strong in Finance, Travel”), how fresh it is (“Active today”), and what it adds over your own circles (“+3 categories your circles don't have”).
v2.72.2
July 10, 2026

Referral codes explained, the circles clubhouse & shop-floor toys

  • ImprovedThe Leaderboard page now opens straight onto the Flairsmith's stall — the shop is the main event, and the rankings are one tap away on their usual tab.
  • ImprovedA speed pass under the hood: the flair shop and the notification bell now load their data in parallel instead of one query at a time — the shop opens noticeably faster.
  • NewTwo new ways to earn: +25 points for creating your first circle, and +15 for your first piece of feedback. Both are one-time bonuses (and admin-tunable like every other rule).
  • New⚡ Back-room finds: twice a day, for one hour only, the Flairsmith drags something out of the back room that ISN'T on today's shelf — usually from the good tiers. Blink and it's gone.
  • NewThe shop now keeps more secrets. Regulars whisper about a reward for relentless hagglers, something for night owls who visit while the lanterns are dimmed, and what happens when someone clears an entire shelf. That's all we're saying.
  • NewThe Collection Ledger 📖 — the Flairsmith's book of every ware: your finds in full color, the rest waiting in silhouette, with progress bars per rarity. Heart anything you're hunting and he'll ping you the day it rotates onto the shelf (“The Flairsmith found your Radiant Peacock — today only”).
  • NewLast call at the stall: in the final hours before the midnight rotation the lanterns dim 🏮 and the merchant gets appropriately dramatic about what's leaving the shelf.
  • NewThe Flairsmith's stall got toys 🧙: a Mystery Crate every day (you see the rarity and a 20%-off price — what's inside stays wrapped until you open it), one haggle a day (about a third of the time he caves for 5–15% off; the rest is theater), a try-it-on mirror in every deal, and a merchant who now greets you by name and comments on what you're wearing.
  • NewThere's a cat in the shop now. She was here before you. Regulars may find persistence… rewarded.
  • ImprovedBroke at the shop? The Flairsmith points you at the three honest faucets — post a code, share your codes, confirm the ones you used — instead of leaving you at a dead end.
  • NewThe Circles page now opens with “Asks you could fill” — friends waiting on a code, right at the top. One tap fulfills with a code you already have (and earns you points), or jumps to Post a Code with the company pre-filled.
  • NewDiscover grew two shelves: Join by interest (the theme circles, finally with their own rail) and Hot this week — the companies people are actually clicking and using right now.
  • NewNew guide: What is a referral code? — what these codes are, how both sides earn, which kinds of companies give bonuses (with live examples from the catalog), and how to get one from someone you actually know. Linked from the footer, next to How it works.
  • FixedFulfilling an older ask no longer wrongly expires it — one code path still used the old 48-hour ask lifetime instead of 7 days.
v2.66.1
July 9, 2026

The Rotation, announcements & a big tester-feedback cleanup

  • ImprovedThe “points to spend” reminder is much quieter now: it only appears when a big balance (500+) is sitting unused, and showing up once means it stays away for several days — even if you don't dismiss it.
  • NewA search with no results is now the start of something: ask your circles for the code right from the empty search page — company pre-filled, circles pre-selected, one tap to send. Your friends get notified, you get pinged the moment someone posts it (and they earn points for coming through).
  • NewRight after you post a code, a share card pops up with a pre-written message — one tap to send it to your group chat, WhatsApp, or clipboard. Your code only earns when friends see it, so we made the first push effortless.
  • NewCompany pages now link to other programs in the same category (“More finance referral programs”) so you can hop between related codes — and dead links get a proper Perko 404 instead of a blank error page.
  • ImprovedThe flair shop got a proper floor plan: the Flairsmith's shelves take the main stage and your stuff — equipped flair, points, collection, working-toward — lives in its own rail on the right (on top, on phones). He also traded the questionable business card for a new one: Trader of shiny things.
  • NewThe Flairsmith's catalog exploded to 500+ flairs — and his shelves now rotate every day. A couple dozen wares are out at a time (commons are plentiful, legendaries scarce — some days there are none at all), so if you see something you like, grab it before midnight. He'll also tap you on the shoulder every few days when you've got points that could buy something on today's shelf.
  • NewMeet The Flairsmith 🧙 — the flair shop is now a proper merchant's stall. Click any pill to haggle: he'll size up your taste, show the ware on its pedestal, and stamp a SOLD! ceremony (sparkles included) when you strike the deal.
  • FixedAnnouncement banners now show for every account: dismissing one used to hide it for anyone else who logged in on the same browser. Dismissals are remembered per account now.
  • FixedThe Circle Activity card on your home page scrolls inside itself instead of growing as tall as the whole feed.
  • NewThe Rotation 🔄 — for companies where several circle-mates have codes (bank bonuses, big-ticket referrals), the circle owner can turn on a fair turn order. The code picker pins whoever's turn it is, and the turn only advances when a code is actually used and confirmed. Anonymous code sites can't copy this one.
  • NewYou can now report a bad listing (scam, expired, wrong company…) right from the code's page — reports go straight to a moderation queue. Owners also get a graceful “mark paused/expired” button, so a dead program leaves the feeds without collecting “didn't work” strikes.
  • NewCodes can now carry the literal enter-at-checkout code (like SAVE20) with a copy button, and every code page shows its confirmed sign-ups — the strongest “this actually works” signal we have. Search and company pages now sink dead codes too.
  • New“This week in your circles” — a recap card on your home page whenever your circles had activity (new codes, joins, uses, open asks). Fresh circles also get a starter checklist, and the member list shows who's brought codes.
  • ImprovedA big round of polish from your feedback: search results now come before the filters on phones (filters live behind a button), asks last 7 days instead of 2 and notifications land right on them, bigger tap targets everywhere, one consistent “Post a Code”/“Browse” naming, a sticky Use Referral button on mobile, and unverified accounts are told up front before filling out a form.
  • NewNew “I used this code” button on every referral page — log that you signed up and the owner gets credit instantly, no waiting for the pop-up. The “did you use this?” prompt also gained a “haven't decided yet” option, so dismissing it no longer throws your answer away forever.
  • FixedCircle invite links now survive the login step — tapping an invite while logged out used to drop you on the homepage after signing in. Invite pages also got a proper “Sign Up & Join” button for friends who are new to Perko.
  • FixedConfirming your email from another device no longer dead-ends on the signup form, expired confirmation links now explain themselves (with a resend button), and if the confirmation email fails to send you'll actually be told instead of “check your inbox.”
  • FixedYour notifications are back on mobile — the bell (and its unread badge) now lives in the top bar instead of hiding inside the menu. Also fixed “Spin the Circle” sometimes not opening the winner's link in Safari.
  • ImprovedTrust hardening: you can no longer vouch for or upvote your own code, and referral links are checked server-side so broken or unsafe links can't be posted.
  • NewAnnouncements! Big launches now get their own showcase at /announcements — richer than a changelog line, with details and a button to try the new thing. When there's something new, a dismissible banner appears at the top of your home page, and headline releases get a spotlight on the landing page.
  • ImprovedWhen you add a referral and something's missing, the form now jumps straight to the field that needs attention (company, tags, or a link that's missing its https://) instead of just showing a message at the top.
  • ImprovedThe Flair tab is now a proper collection experience: a showcase of the flair you're wearing up top, a “jewelry case” holding everything you own (tap any piece to wear it — the one you've got on glows), and the shop below with rarity-tinted cards (legendary pills shine gold).
  • ImprovedThe Leaderboard is easier to read now: it opens straight to the rankings, with a Rankings / Flair Shop toggle up top. The shop lives in its own tab and is grouped by rarity (Common → Legendary), instead of one long list sitting above the board.
  • NewThe Flair Shop just got a lot bigger — 35 pills to spend your points on, from goofy starters (Cart Goblin 🛒, Trash Panda 🦝, Caffeinated ☕) to money-themed brags (Penny Pincher 🪙, Breadwinner 🍞, Bonus Baron 🤑) to legendary flexes (Deal Dragon 🐉, Grand Champion 🏆, Certified GOAT 🐐). They're spread across five tiers, so there's something to save up for at every level.
v2.58.1

Theme circles, codes-carrying invites & member safety

  • FixedBrowsing circles while logged out no longer surfaces empty circles — a circle with no referral codes behind it is hidden from the public Discover list, so every circle you see actually has something inside.
  • NewFlair! You can now wear a little pill next to your name. Buy cosmetic flair with the points you earn (a new Flair Shop on the Leaderboard), earn the unbuyable “Certified Plug” by racking up confirmed uses of your codes, and our earliest members get a “Day One” flair for free. Pick one to wear — it shows up on the leaderboard and your profile.
  • NewCircles now have a stats panel — codes, members, how many have been used, and the total your group has earned together through each other's codes. The earnings line only appears once there's something to show.
  • ImprovedThe first-circle setup now autofills too: paste your referral link in the welcome flow and we glean the company, home page, description, tags, and logo automatically — so your very first code looks complete, not bare-bones. You just pick the reward.
  • ImprovedSetting a reward is harder to get wrong: the amount box now takes just the number, so picking a type no longer produces oddities like “500 points points” or “$500 off off.” A live preview shows exactly how it'll read on your card.
  • FixedCircles with more than 20 codes were hiding the rest — a “Load more” button now reveals every code in the circle.
  • ImprovedCircles with lots of members no longer run the page down forever — the member list now sits in a compact, scrollable box (about ten at a time) with a search field to jump straight to someone.
  • FixedOn phones, the row of circle buttons (Share, Invite, Edit, Settings…) was squished so tightly the labels were unreadable. They now stack into full-width, easy-to-tap buttons on small screens.
  • FixedJust added a code? It now rides at the top of your feed for a few hours so you can see it landed — no more switching to "New" to find it.
  • ImprovedOn phones, the Hot / New / Rising filter is now a compact dropdown, so more codes fit above the fold and switching filters clearly refreshes the list.
  • NewAdding a code is almost automatic now: the referral link moved to the top of the form, and one tap on "Autofill" reads your link and fills in the company, home page, a description, and tags for you. All you add is the reward amounts.
  • NewPublic circles are now open to everyone — no account needed. Anyone can open a public circle and browse its referral codes; who's inside stays private behind a "log in to see" blur, so joining still has a payoff. Private circles remain fully hidden.
  • ImprovedWhen you ask for a code, you now pick exactly which circle (or circles) it goes to — no more asking every circle at once. Choose one or several with checkboxes.
  • ImprovedAdded an About page, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and a site footer that ties them together — so it's clear who runs Perko and how your data is handled (and so corporate networks can properly recognize the site).
  • NewNew accounts now confirm their email before creating circles or codes — you can still browse everything in the meantime. The moment you click the confirmation link, you're taken straight to the setup wizard to get started. (Google sign-ups are already confirmed.)
  • FixedUpvote counts now match everywhere. A code's score was correct on its own page but showed 0 in Search, on the logged-out home, and inside circles — those lists weren't loading the vote totals. Circle cards now show votes too.
  • ImprovedThe Referrals page now opens in List view by default — easier to scan. Your Grid/List/Compact choice is still remembered once you pick one.
  • ImprovedThe logged-out home page now shows three columns of codes across on desktop instead of two, so more deals are visible at a glance.
  • NewModeration: admins can now ban a member. Their referral codes are hidden everywhere and they can't sign in (they see the reason at login). Bans are fully reversible — nothing is deleted — and a ban also blocks that email and device from signing up again, so someone can't just come back under a new account. Unbanning restores everything.
  • NewAdmins can email a member directly from the admin panel — handy for account questions or heads-ups.
  • ImprovedThe "Did you use this referral?" prompt now appears at the top of the page and offers three clearer answers: "Yes, it worked & I used it", "It worked, but I didn't use it", and "It didn't work".
  • FixedUpvoting a code no longer snaps back to 0. Your vote now sticks — tap the up arrow once to upvote, or tap the down arrow to switch it to a downvote.
  • NewThere's now an official circle for each category — Finance, Technology, Fashion, Pets, and more. Its feed is every public code in that category, gathered automatically, so you can browse a whole theme in one place. Find them on the Discover page and join the ones you like (nobody's added automatically).
  • ImprovedEach theme circle now has its own logo — a clean icon per category (a dollar sign for Finance, a controller for Gaming, a paw for Pets, and so on).
  • NewClose the Loop: when a friend uses your code you can now tap 🙏 to thank them, and they hear it. Answered asks, and codes that come through, now ping both people — so the moment your circle actually earns money together doesn't go unsaid.
  • NewFirst Circle in 60 seconds: brand-new members now get a guided three-step start — pick a circle, drop in a code you already have so it isn't a ghost town, and share the invite — instead of landing on an empty page. Every step is skippable.
  • NewCodes-carrying invites: when you invite someone you can attach a real code to the invite. Your friend sees exactly what's waiting — "🎁 $200 Chase code inside" — right on the invite link and its chat preview before they even sign up, and they land straight on that code when they join.
v2.47.0
July 7, 2026

Circles First: Welcome Circle, Smarter Filters & Clearer Posting

  • NewSigning up from a circle invite now drops you straight into that circle — no detour through the home page.
  • NewNew members get a one-tap circle starter: pick Roommates, Family, Work Crew, The Group Chat, or Gym Buddies, rename it if you like, and go straight to sharing the invite link with your people. Fully skippable.
  • ImprovedDiscover only lists circles with at least 2 members, so fresh solo circles don't clutter the browse page.
  • NewCircle Requests: need a code nobody's posted? Ask your circle ("anyone got a Chase referral before Friday?") — everyone gets a heads-up, and whoever delivers one of their codes earns 20 points. You'll instantly see codes already in your circles that match.
  • NewAn ask that goes unanswered for 48 hours turns into an invite card — "your circle still needs a Ziply code, know someone?" — with one-tap sharing to your group chat.
  • NewTap any circle disc on the home page and the whole page becomes that circle: its codes up top, its activity and a members-only weekly standings board in the side rail. Perko remembers which circle you left it on.
  • NewAn "All of Perko" disc switches you back to the global view any time, and a scoped home always keeps "the rest of Perko" one scroll away below your circle's codes.
  • NewEvery Friday, one email with what moved in your circles: new codes from named friends, how many codes were used between you this week, and open asks you might be able to fulfill. If your circles were quiet, we skip the email entirely.
  • NewA "My circles' weekly digest" toggle in your profile's notification settings turns it off any time.
  • ImprovedClicking a referral's name on a card now opens its Perko page (comments, codes, details) instead of bouncing you to the company's website.
  • NewA little globe button on every card takes you to the company's website — without a referral attached — when that's what you're after.
  • NewCompany pages: every company now has its own page (like perko.io/company/eightsleep) listing all its public codes — great for sharing and for people googling "EightSleep referral code".
  • NewOn your phone, a bottom navigation bar puts Home, Referrals, Post, Circles, and your Profile under your thumb. On desktop, search now lives right in the top bar.
  • New"Ask for a Code" on the home page asks all your circles at once — and instantly shows matching codes your circles already have.
  • ImprovedThe site is snappier (cold starts are ~50× faster) and there's a new FAQ explaining how referral codes and circles work.
  • ImprovedProfile pictures and circle photos now load from a CDN instead of being embedded in every page's data — leaderboards, member lists, and circle pages got noticeably lighter and faster. Existing photos were migrated automatically.
  • FixedClicking a circle on your home page opens that circle again. Focusing your home page on one circle now lives in a clear dropdown next to the feed — pick a circle there and everything scopes to it, exactly as before.
  • ImprovedSign-up, login, and feedback are now guarded by invisible bot detection (Vercel BotID) — no CAPTCHAs, no friction for humans, no fake accounts for bots.
  • FixedDiscover was hiding public circles that hadn't reached 2 members yet — which meant brand-new circles could never be found and joined. Fresh public circles now show up right away (bigger ones still rank first).
  • NewYou can now follow people — hit Follow on anyone's profile and you'll get a notification whenever they post a new public code. They'll know they earned a follower, too.
  • ImprovedFollows are privacy-aware: private codes never trigger follow notifications, and if you share a circle with someone you follow, you won't be notified twice about the same code.
  • FixedAccepting an invite to a private circle no longer shows "Access denied" — members can now open their private circles (and leave them). Outsiders are still locked out.
  • FixedThe "Add to Circle" menu no longer gets clipped by the card's edge — it now floats fully visible wherever the card sits.
  • NewCircle invites waiting on you now appear right at the top of your home page — see who invited you, to which circle, and their note, then join or decline in one tap. Joining drops you straight into the circle.
  • FixedThe "Add to Circle" menu was closing itself before you could click anything — it now stays put (and follows along if you scroll).
  • FixedYou can now leave any circle you've joined — the Leave Circle button appears on every circle you're a member of (it was only showing on public ones), with a clearer heads-up about what leaving means.
  • FixedThe "Add to Circle" menu is rebuilt from the ground up — it stays open until you close it (tap outside, hit Escape, or the ✕), no more vanishing act.
  • ImprovedPicking the circle is now the first thing you see: your circles are listed immediately, with a simple toggle between adding just this code or the poster plus all their codes. Public circles you've joined are included for code-pinning too.
  • FixedFound the real gremlin behind the misbehaving "Add to Circle" menu: the card's hover animation was hijacking the menu's positioning. The menu now renders above everything, immune to it — open, pick a circle, done.
  • NewEveryone now starts in the Welcome Circle — a shared circle every member joins automatically, so you can see how circles work (and drop your first code) from minute one. Existing members are already in. You can leave any time.
  • NewTag and company filters on the Referrals page now show how many codes carry each one — like clothes (3) — sorted by popularity, with the top 10 shown and a Show all toggle.
  • NewLong filter lists get their own mini search box, so you can find a tag or company without scrolling.
  • ImprovedFilter counts are contextual: search for something and the tag and company lists narrow to what actually matches, so you never click into an empty result.
  • FixedTags and company names from private referrals no longer appear in the filter sidebar for people outside the circles they're shared with.
  • NewAdmins can now edit any referral — fix a typo, a broken link, or a wrong company name right from the referral page or the Admin panel. Privacy and circle-sharing settings always stay under the owner's control.
  • NewCircle pages now have an Invite member button right next to Invite by email — search anyone already on Perko by username and invite them without scrolling to the members list.
  • ImprovedPosting a code no longer asks for a cryptic amount + unit pair. Pick what kind of reward it is — $ off, % off, $ credit, free time, or points — type one number, and a live preview shows exactly how it will appear on your card.
  • ImprovedThe referrer side gets its own presets ($ earned, $ credit, points, free time), and free time lets you choose days, weeks, months, or years.
  • ImprovedBenefits now read naturally everywhere — cards, referral pages, and link previews show "$300 off" and "1 free month" instead of "$ off 300".
  • FixedSaving an edited referral could hang on "Saving..." (even though the edit went through) when the edit page was opened directly or after a refresh. Saving now always lands you on the referral's page.
  • ImprovedSaving is much faster — the company logo is only re-fetched when the website address actually changes.
  • ImprovedThe weekly circle digest email is paused while we rework it — no newsletters will go out until it relaunches.
  • FixedPosting a code no longer gets stuck on a vague "fill in all required fields" error: a tag you typed but didn't press Enter on now counts automatically, the error names exactly which field is missing, and links without https:// get a clear alert.
  • FixedLogging in from a new device could fail with "Couldn't verify you're human" when an ad-blocker or in-app browser blocked the verification script. That check is gone — bot protection is now fully invisible and can't lock out real people.
  • Improved"More from" a company on a referral page is now a compact sidebar next to the code instead of a wall of full-size cards below it.
  • NewForgot your password? There's now a reset link on the login page — enter your email and you'll get a one-time link (works for Google accounts too, if you'd like a password as a second way in).
  • NewAdmins can reset a member's password from the Admin panel, generating a one-time temporary password to pass along.
  • ImprovedTrying to password-login to an account that signed up with Google now says so, instead of a dead-end "invalid password".
  • FixedThe admin password-reset dialog now actually uses the password you type into it (it previously ignored edits and set a random one), and logging in with your email or username is no longer case-sensitive.
  • NewEvery company is now sorted into a category (Technology, Finance, Fashion, Pets, and more) automatically from its website — so you can filter the Referrals page by theme, not just by tags. New codes are categorized the moment they're posted.
v2.27.0

ReferralHub Becomes Perko: Command Deck, Dev API & More

  • NewThe logged-in home page got a full redesign: a personal side rail keeps your stats, level progress, leaderboard rank, circle activity, and circles to join in view while you browse the catalog.
  • NewSee exactly where you stand — the rank card shows your weekly, monthly, or all-time position, plus how many points you need to overtake the person above you.
  • ImprovedA friendly greeting with quick Invite Friends and Post a Code actions now opens the page, and your circles sit in a compact scrollable rail with a one-tap "New circle" shortcut.
  • NewWe have a new name and a new home: perko.io. Same circles, same codes, same points — shinier badge on the door.
  • NewA brand-new Perko logo now lives in the top-left corner and in your browser tab.
  • NewPerko now has a public REST API! Browse referrals, post codes, manage circles, and read the leaderboard programmatically. Interactive docs live at /developers/docs, with a full OpenAPI spec for Postman or code generation.
  • NewRequest an API key from the new Developers page — every request is reviewed and approved by an admin, and your key acts as your account once it's active.
  • NewAPI traffic is rate-limited per key (with X-RateLimit headers on every response), so integrations can't crowd out the site.
  • NewAdmins can now rename level tiers and retune their point thresholds right from Admin → Points → Levels & Titles — add or remove tiers and save, no redeploy needed.
  • NewUpload a profile picture from your profile page — tap the camera on your avatar. Your photo shows up in the navbar, on the leaderboard, in comments, on circle member lists, and next to your codes.
  • ImprovedPhotos are cropped square and compressed right in your browser, so uploads are instant and pages stay fast.
  • ImprovedInviting someone to a circle by username now sends them an invite to accept — no one gets added (or has their codes shown) without saying yes first.
  • NewSee everyone you've invited who hasn't accepted yet in a Pending Invites list on the circle, and resend or cancel any invite with one tap.
  • NewCircles now appears in the menu for everyone. Not signed in? You'll get a peek at the most popular public circles — create a free account to open and join them.
  • ImprovedThe leaderboard is now behind login — it's a members-only feature and no longer appears on the home page. Log in to see where you rank.
  • NewPerko now builds a live property graph of how members, codes, and circles connect — the foundation for smarter recommendations down the road (it's vector-search ready).
  • NewAdmins get a Graph Explorer in the Network tab: query the graph with Cypher (an openCypher subset) using one-click presets like "codes your circle-mates used" and "invite chains."
  • NewThe Circle Pot: every circle now shows how much its members have earned through each other's codes — real friend-to-friend value that grows as you share. Cross a milestone together (like $100) and the whole circle gets a celebration.
  • NewShare a circle straight to your group chat. A new share button opens WhatsApp, Messages, or your phone's share sheet with a prewritten invite, and circle invite links now unfurl into a rich preview card (members and codes inside — never the codes themselves).
  • NewUnread dots: a subtle dot appears on a circle when someone's added a new code since you last looked, so you always know where the fresh perks are.
  • ImprovedThe Circle Pot now values everything, not just dollars: percentage discounts are counted ("3 discounts"), exclusive-access invites unlocked through a friend show as "exclusive invites," and free-text perks like a free ride or a month of premium count as perks. Nothing your circle earns disappears from the pot anymore.
  • NewMilestone celebrations aren't dollars-only either — circles now also celebrate hitting 10, 25, 50+ codes used between members, so a circle full of invites and discounts gets its moment too.
  • NewAdmins can now tune Circle Pot milestones right from the Admin panel (Points → Circle Pot Milestones): set the dollar totals and codes-used counts that trigger a circle-wide celebration, or switch either off — no redeploy needed.
  • NewThe admin Graph Explorer now draws the network: an interactive map of members, codes, circles, companies, and tags. Zoom, pan, drag nodes around, hover for details, and click any node to pull in its neighbors.
  • ImprovedQuery results and the visual map work together — any PerkoQL query that returns nodes renders as a graph (with a table view one click away), and an "Explore graph" button drops you straight into the busiest corner of the network, no query required.
  • ImprovedCircles load much faster — the Circle Pot for your whole list is now computed in one pass instead of circle-by-circle, and the circle page fetches everything in parallel.
  • ImprovedThe circle page now leads with what matters: the codes. Members are a compact row of faces you can tap to expand for the full list, invites, and pending-invite management.
  • FixedEmail addresses are private: profiles no longer reveal anyone's email to other members, new usernames can't contain an email address, and any legacy email-style usernames were renamed (you can always sign in with your email instead).
  • NewYou can now change your username any time — tap the edit pencil on your profile. Your username is your public handle and profile link; pick anything you like (letters, numbers, underscores).
  • ImprovedSigning up with Google no longer borrows anything from your email address for your username — new accounts get a neutral handle (like member4821) until you choose your own. Your email is only ever used to sign in.
  • ImprovedThe circle page got the home-page treatment: members now live in a sticky card at the top right — always in reach for inviting and managing, never in the way of the codes.
  • ImprovedAdmin tab badges now mean "something needs you": the API tab shows a count when key requests are waiting, Feedback only badges unread items, and the Users/Referrals tabs dropped their ever-growing totals.
  • ImprovedThe admin API keys view is a compact table instead of stacked cards — status, app, key, owner, usage, and limits at a glance.
  • NewEvery circle now has an activity log — see who joined, what codes were added or pinned, when someone's code got used (we never say who used it), and the milestones you've hit together. Like a group feed for your circle.
  • NewThe circle feed has the same Grid / List / Compact views as the Referrals page, and remembers your choice across both.
  • ImprovedThe members card no longer floats along as you scroll — it sits below the activity log and stays out of the way.
  • ImprovedCircles and profiles now use the same wide layout as the Referrals page — no more scrunched circle feeds on big screens. Forms and reading pages keep their comfortable narrow width on purpose.
  • FixedSharing a private code with select circles no longer marks it as "pinned" there — scoping a code to a circle and pinning are different things. Existing shares were cleaned up automatically.
  • ImprovedPinning is now the circle owner's curation tool: only owner-pinned codes get the pinned badge. Members adding codes to public circles share them into the feed without the badge, and the activity log says "shared" vs "pinned" accordingly.
v2.7.0
July 5, 2026

Private Referrals & Circle Controls

  • NewSharing a code for an invite-only service? Check "Exclusive access" when posting — no reward amounts needed, and the code shows a 🔑 Exclusive Access badge instead.
  • NewThe Referrals page (formerly Search) now has Grid, List, and Compact views — pick how you like to browse and we'll remember it.
  • NewPrefer to stay off the public leaderboard? There's now a privacy toggle in your profile settings — you'll still see your own rank privately.
  • FixedPosting a referral without a referrer benefit no longer errors for API clients.
  • NewCircle owners can now search usernames and add members directly — on any circle, public or private.
  • NewNew circle setting: "Members can add people." Turn it on and anyone in your circle can invite others by username; turn it off to keep adding owner-only.
  • ImprovedWhen someone is added to a circle, they're told who added them, and the rest of the circle gets a heads-up too (respecting your notification settings).
  • NewThe Circles page now opens with a Popular Circles spotlight — the most-joined public circles, front and center, with one-tap Join.
  • NewCheck "Make this Private" when posting a referral to keep it out of the public catalog and search — visible only to people in your circles. Choose all your circles, just your private circles, or hand-pick specific ones.
  • NewPrivate referrals show a lock badge, stay out of search engines and share previews, and only notify the circles they're actually shared with.
  • ImprovedYour own referrals now have Edit and Remove buttons right on their page — perfect for when a code or offer changes. (Editing was previously tucked away on your profile.)
  • NewWhen creating a circle, choose what shows up in it: everyone's codes, only certain people's codes, or only hand-picked referrals.
  • NewChange it anytime in Circle Settings — including picking exactly whose codes appear, with a "codes shown" badge on the member list.
  • ImprovedPinned referrals now show a "Pinned to this circle" bar with one-click Remove for owners, and every circle displays its content mode next to the referral list so it's always clear how codes get there.
v2.2.0

The Orbit Release: Points, Levels & a Fresh Look

  • NewReferralHub is gamified! Earn points for posting codes, confirmed uses, inviting friends, joining circles, voting, and commenting. Your points live in the navbar and on your profile.
  • NewClimb five levels as you earn: Window Shopper → Deal Scout → Bonus Hunter → The Plug → Referral Royalty.
  • NewA public Leaderboard with weekly, monthly, and all-time races — fresh chances to win every week.
  • NewYour profile now catalogs your Referral Earnings: every confirmed use of your codes and what it earned you, totaled up.
  • NewGive your circles a photo! Upload one from the circle page and it appears everywhere your circle does.
  • ImprovedA brand-new light design: circles are actual circles, referrals display in a clean catalog grid with the benefit front and center, and the whole app got a fresh coat of paint.
  • NewNew accounts confirm their email address (Google sign-ins are verified automatically). Look for the confirmation link in your inbox.
  • NewMore notification controls: get notified (in-app or by email) when someone comments on your referral or confirms they used your code — all configurable in your profile.
  • ImprovedEmails got a full redesign to match the site, and email delivery is now much more reliable.
  • ImprovedFaster everywhere: quicker pages, snappier images, and better search-engine and link previews (every referral now gets its own share card showing the deal).
  • NewWhen several people have codes for the same product, you'll see one card with everyone behind it. Pick whose code to use — or hit "Spin the Circle" for a fair rotation between your circle-mates (strangers get "I'm Feeling Lucky", weighted toward codes that work).
  • New"Does this code still work?" — report Works or Didn't Work on any referral. Dead codes get flagged on their cards and sink in the Hot feed.
  • NewPublic circles can now carry tags — they show on circle cards, are clickable on Discover, and make circles searchable by topic.
  • ImprovedThe referral page got a big declutter: one clean action band with the benefit and Use Referral button together, and far less noise.
  • ImprovedA prominent "Add yours" button appears on any product you don't have a code for yet.
v1.4.1
June 30, 2026

Activity Feed, Follow-ups & Safer Logins

  • NewYour logged-in home page now has a Circle Activity feed — see when friends post new codes, join your circles, or comment, all in one place.
  • NewUpvote or downvote any referral and leave Reddit-style comments (with replies) to share your experience.
  • NewThe home page now highlights the circles you're in and suggests new circles to join.
  • NewInvite friends to a specific circle with a shareable link — if they don't have an account yet, they sign up and join that circle automatically.
  • NewA first-time setup wizard walks new members through posting their first referral code.
  • NewCopy any referral straight from its card — everything is pre-filled, just paste your own code.
  • ImprovedCompany logos are now pulled automatically via logo.dev for sharper, more reliable branding.
  • NewAfter you click a referral, we'll gently check in on your next visit to ask whether you actually used it — helping surface the codes that really work.
  • ImprovedPassword logins are now protected by reCAPTCHA to keep bots out (Google sign-in is unaffected).
v1.2.0

Circles, Feedback & Changelog

  • NewAdd any referral code straight to one of your circles from its card — pin a single code or add the whole user (which brings in all of their referral codes).
  • NewDuplicate any referral code and enter your own referral link as a brand-new item.
  • NewShare your thoughts from the new Feedback page — admins can read everything in the Admin panel.
  • NewThis Changelog! Keep up with the newest features and improvements here.
